From the moment I awoke little things began to happen. The coffee pot somehow went into overdrive and poured coffee grounds all over the place, not a lick of decent coffee was left.

Straight lines and no quick movements are always good when driving and caffiene automatically turns this feature on in my brain.

So after delivering Lani to Band Camp, I thought I would stop at McDonalds for a nice cup of coffee before returning home to start the day in a better frame of mind. I pull in and of course they are getting their early morning delivery, so the truck is blocking the drive through. I took the inforced delay to attempt to pull my wallet out of my purse and discovered my wallet was not in the purse.

Of course it had slipped out of my stupid purse, because I thought I would look "cute", and switch to my summer purse which is more just a little tote bag. It has no top closure. By now of course it is already hot, as the sun is scorching, and I have no air conditioning in the car right now. And I am starting to steam myself with frustration and lack of my chosen drug, caffiene!

Finally, after a swervy ride home, I cleaned the coffee pot and started brewing a fresh cup. I sat down at the computer to get my day truly started. Actually I was attempting to reboot the day and begin again.

After getting a decent cuppa joe I sat down and connected to the internet. Nothing was happening, no connection to my server. By now I wanted to go back to bed and wake up Thursday morning, rooting for a brand new day!

I spent the next hour trying to figure out why my computer woudn't connect to the server, staring at the modem, willing it to work properly. I did every manner of computer manipulation and wizardry I could think of!

Finally, after figuring out that, despite my intense staring, the internet still hadn't magically appeared, I was sputtering curses and ready to skip alll the way to Friday morning. Gabe was awake by then and shoving eggs in my face, demanding breakfast. I made a lame attempt at reconfiguring the cordless mouse, while appeasing gabes hunger with scrambled eggs.

Finally after getting no results with all the attempts I had made, I called tech support for my server and begged for help. The dude was less then helpful, spouting off several things that could be the issue. I spent so long on the phone with him that the cordless phone battery died and once again I was all alone with no connecting computer. By now it was about noon, so I at least threw something in the crockpot for dinner and hung some clothes on the line to dry in the 95 degree heat. My coffee was cold because I had only drank half of it before starting the techie issues.
After a brief break, I returned to the issue and made an informed(ha ha) guess that my external modem had pooched out.

Thus I piled Gabe into the 110 degree car and drove off to the server's office to exchange my modem. Both Gabe and I were sweating and limp when we returned but I had a new modem in hand. I sat down to hook it up, then called tech service again to have them help me install the new modem. By that time it was 2 pm , and nothing had been done in the house because I was so obsessed with turning around the bad day blues! Of course the connection issues continued, until tech support got their acts together. Finally I was connected!! Woo Hooo let my real day begin..................ahhhhhhhhhhh not so fast little lady, my email had not been transferred to the new modem. Talk about crash and burn, highs and lows on half a cuppa coffee really suck!!! By this time I have had enough, and had acquired a few more gray hairs. Thank goodness a nice techie chatted my way through the email connection. Honestl, I do not care if I ever speak to them again! So it is 3:21 and finally I am entering a blog. The world has been straightened around, yet I am worried cause I have a few more hours before I get to go to bed. Hopefully, tomorrow will be better!
