Yes, well I certainly must explain, but we all relax on the throne on occasion don't we??
Anyway, I am sitting there being productive, when I notice a huge slit in the shower curtain. Hmmmmmmm, no wonder the floor keeps getting soaked. Mystery partly solved. I had never really investigated why the floor was soaked, just kept telling the kiddoes that they needed to be more careful of flying water.
The slit was partially hidden in a fold of the shower curtain and not terribly obvious. Immediately I considered Gabe to be the guilty culprit. You see, Gabe has a penchant for scissors. Lately, he has discovered the thrill of cutting his own hair. I can tell you he isn't very good, preferring a chunky, bald spot look, to a standard hair cut.
Other then being mildly irritated that scissors were left out where Gabe could find them, I have been nonplussed with the activity. After all, this is what typically developing kids do, cut their hair, write on walls, color on themselves. Many days I have sent him to school with sharpie on his hands or bald spots on his head. In my opinion, its nothing but a thing. At least finally he is curious about things right?
Often I get snide little notes sent home from school. "Mrs. Hanson did you know Gabe has a bald spot on his head today?" Blech!!! Of course I did, I simply forgot to notify the newspaper that I have been unable to watch my son efficiently in order to avoid this type of occurrance. My little no big deal often gets met with disapproval. But I am getting off the subject.
So I was sitting on the toilet, trying to figure out the mystery of the slit, when I heard a cat chirp. Hmmmmm, was the cat outside the bathroom door wanting to come in? You know that chirpy greeting call that some cats make? Pandy Blu, the baby, greets me with that chirp, and she is never far out of my sight.
At that point I had an aha moment."AHAAAAAA" I said out loud as Pandy Blu popped her head out of the slit. She chirped again in greeting and stared at me. You could tell by the look on her face that she couldn't believe her luck at finding me dwelling upon the big water dish!

Pandy just loves water, part of her nature as a Bengal Breed. Often she hangs out under the faucets of the house, hoping for a drip or two. The kids never turn the tub faucet off completely, so Pandy knows she is assured a shower if she hangs out in the tub. Bengals are a very playful breed, and being a kitten Pandy has very razor like claws. I am positive that it is she who put the slit in the shower curtain. Pandy seemed nonplussed has she left the tub through the slit and started purring and wrapping herself around my legs. She must have learned that attitude from me.
